For the best pictures:
Bridal & Engagement Photos: try to do them on the same day if at
all possible. It will save time and money. (ONE
trip
to the hair dresser, ONE trip for TWO
sessions
of portraits, etc.)
Your Thoughts: Tear out pictures you see in bridal magazines
that you like and make a file. Write down ideas you
have for pictures you want taken and add them to your
file. Your Photographer may try to accommodate your
photo ideas.
Makeup: Let the makeup enhance your looks and not cover them up.
Prevent the dark “raccoon eye” effect by not
wearing a dark eye make-up.
Also, you may need make-up at your sessions for touch
ups.
Hair: Keep it simple.
Choose a perfect style that fits you.
Clothing: Keep it simple. Classic styles & colors are best.
Don’t pick the latest design fads. You want
portraits that will always show you in a classic
appearance. You may have a second change of clothes if
you wish. Your photographer may do both a casual dress
and formal session.
Schedule
your photo sessions at least two months prior to your
wedding. This gives your photographer plenty of time
to process, proof, and place re-orders of
enlargements. It also gives your photographer the
opportunity to have your portraits framed so they can
be displayed at your wedding.
